A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault in Harrogate.
Police were called to Albert Street near the Stray to reports of an incident at 12.10am this morning.
Officers said a man in his 20s required medical treatment and was taken to hospital for "non-critical injuries".
Another man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
A police cordon was still in place next to the traffic lights on the Stray near Albert Street this morning.
A North Yorkshire Police statement added:
Witnesses are being urged to come forward. Anyone who saw anything that could help the investigation should call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and provide reference number NYP-26072024-0003.
