A man has been accused of a string of burglaries in Harrogate.
Nicholas Baldwin, 27, appeared at York Magistrates Court yesterday (December 2) charged with five offences: four counts of burglary at a dwelling and theft without violence, and one count of attempted burglary at a dwelling with intent to steal.
According to court documents, Mr Baldwin is alleged to have entered a number of Harrogate properties as a trespasser and stole goods – including a car - in March 2024.
Mr Baldwin is accused of burglary at a property on Bachelor Way and stealing a BMW and car keys.
The defendant, whose address is listed as HMP Leeds, allegedly stole a set of keys from a property on Wainfleet Road, as well as from a property on Marvell Rise.
Mr Baldwin is also accused of stealing keys, a purse and its contents from a property on Bilton Lane.
It is also claimed he attempted to enter a property on Tennyson Avenue as a trespasser with intent to steal therein.
All the offences are alleged to have taken place between March 24 and 27 last year.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Baldwin is expected to give pleas on January 5.
