Police are investigating a burglary at a farm in Kirk Deighton which saw a generator stolen.
Officers said the incident happened overnight between 11pm on August 12 and 7am on August 13 and the suspects may have travelled along Wetherby Road.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said a large Hyundai generator was taken along with numerous power tools which are mainly Dewalt branded, two Rotorbroach drills and a quantity of cow feed.
It is believed a large vehicle, likely a pick up, would have been needed in order to transport these items from the scene, the force added.
A police statement said:
We are appealing for information regarding this incident and any dash cam footage that shows any suspicious vehicles, in particular a vehicle carrying a large Hyundai generator, between these times, or if anybody has any information regarding the sale of a bulk quantity of power tools.
