Martin Gerrard, a former president of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, has died at the age of 69.
Mr Gerrard was one of the best known business leaders in Harrogate, having worked as a premier relationship manager during a 49-year career with Barclays.
He retired from Barclays in March 2022 and became an associate at Williams Investment Management.
Besides his business career, which also included a spell as a director of Harrogate Business Improvement District, Mr Gerrard supported many charitable causes.

Martin Mann, chief executive of the chamber, described Mr Gerrard as "a true gentleman", adding:
He did so much for Harrogate both in business and his support of the arts
Fiona Movley, president of the Harrogate Club, of which Mr Gerrard had been a member since 2022, said his "enthusiasm, kindness and warm presence will be deeply missed".
She added:
Martin was a well-known and respected figure in Harrogate, admired for his dedication and support of numerous charitable causes, including the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation and the Harrogate International Festivals.
Martin spent 49 years serving his clients at Barclays across Yorkshire, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike for his dedication and professionalism.
