Fire crews tackle blaze on Ripon street
Fire crews attended the fire on St Wilfrid's Road.
Firefighters are currently tackling a fire on St Wilfrid’s Road in Ripon.
Crews from Harrogate and Tadcaster were called to the blaze, which was reported to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue at 7am this morning.
North Yorkshire Police has cordoned off nearby Coltsgate Hill next to St Wilfrid’s Church, while fire crews deal with the incident. Drivers are urged to find alternative routes.
The roof of one property has been destroyed and adjacent properties have also been affected.
There are no reports of any casualties.
Coltsgate Road has been cordoned off.
