A Knaresborough pub that was gutted by fire this year has been put up for sale.
The Cricketers, at the junction of Forest Moor Road and Thistle Hill in Cattal, caught fire in the early hours of April 1 and the ensuing blaze caused "100% fire damage to the building", according to North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.
The property used to be a three-storey detached building, but it is now little more than a shell of a building, with no roof or floors – it is being marketed without a floorplan – and has stood open to the elements for the last three months.
Nevertheless, the site has potential – there is a patio, beer garden and parking for 20 cars, all on a plot of just under half an acre.
The property also overlooks the Calcutt Oval – home to Knaresborough Forest Cricket Club.

The pub is advertised as having “alternate [sic] use potential, subject to obtaining the necessary consents”.
It is being marketed by Birmingham-based WTS Property Consultants for offers in excess of £100,000.
Formerly the Union, the pub was refurbished in 2019 and re-opened as The Cricketers, earning a 4/5 rating on Tripadvisor and positive reviews for its food, decor, cleanliness and welcome.
Following the fire in April, a woman was arrested the same day on suspicion of arson and spent several hours in custody before being released on bail.
According to North Yorkshire Police, enquiries continue and no-one has yet been charged with any offence.
