Didn’t get tickets for Glastonbury? No problem. A free live screening will take place this Saturday (June 29) in Knaresborough.
Party in the Castle will be held in the grounds of Knaresborough Castle.
Crowds will gather around a large screen displaying the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage from 5pm to 11pm. Coldplay are the headline act.
There won't be any stalls selling food or drink but people are welcome to bring their own provisions and a blanket or chair to sit on.
This is the second year running that organisers Kelly Teggin and the Knaresborough & District Chamber have brought the excitement of Glastonbury to the town.
The event is also supported by North Yorkshire Council and independent traders.
The mini-Glastonbury, which is free to attend, was blessed by sunshine last year and attracted about 800 people.
The event reinforces Knaresborough's reputation as a town that loves a party — similar community celebrations held each year include Picnic in the Park and Knaresborough Beer Festival.
