A bus driver in Harrogate had to do an emergency stop when a driver threw liquid over him.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement today the bus driver had just pulled out from a bus stop on Forest Lane Head on the A59.
The statement said the liquid was “thrown into the bus driver cab through an open window”, adding:
The liquid struck the bus driver, who had to complete an emergency braking procedure.
The bus had about 30 passengers at the time of the assault.
The liquid was thrown by someone in a vehicle passing in the opposite direction, police said.
The statement, issued on the North Yorkshire Community Messaging service, said the incident happened at about 3.30pm to 3.35pm on June 18.
It added:
