A Harrogate lighting and interiors shop will close today (June 28) after seven years.
Lighthouse on Cold Bath Road opened in 2017. The shop, which sells decorative and domestic lighting, will cease to trade because owners Martin and Lisa Johnson are retiring.
The husband-and-wife duo have been in the lighting industry for many years and previously ran a shop in Barnoldswick, Lancashire.
They said the shop lease ends on Sunday and they haven’t found anyone to take the business on.
Mr Johnson said:
We are closing due to retirement, not because business is bad or anything like that.
We plan to do lots of relaxing at first, and then visit lots of places in the UK that we couldn’t find the time for when we had the shop open six days a week.

He added:
We are sad to be going and would like to thank our customers for all their support over the last several years.
Hopefully we brought a little bit of light into their lives!
