A Harrogate man charged with a string of child pornography offences has escaped prison.

Tyler Hall, of Wentworth Crescent, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child and six counts of making indecent images and videos of children in June.

The severity of the indecent content ranged from categories A to C – category A being the most extreme.

Court documents stated Hall also possessed one “extreme pornographic image” involving sex with an animal.

Hall was a minor at the time the offences took place.

He was originally due to be sentenced on August 21, but this was adjourned as the court required a psychiatric report.

Hall appeared at York Magistrates Court last Friday (October 18) for sentencing.

He was ordered to undergo rehabilitation activity, which requires him to attend appointments with an officer for a maximum of 30 days.
