Harrogate micropub announces closure
An independent micropub in Harrogate has announced it will close its doors.
The Disappearing Chin, on Beulah Street, opened in 2019 and has since served a range of craft beers, cocktails and wines to the town.
However, in a post on its social media, the bar has announced it will serve its last customers on Christmas Eve.
It said:
It’s time to say goodbye. We’re absolutely gutted to be saying this but we will be closing for a final time on Christmas Eve.
We have adored opening and running the chin, and most of the last 6 years have been incredible but with many challenges thrown our way we’ve decided not to carry on.
It’s a very tough environment out there for many small businesses and we have decided to close our doors so we can focus on our new family. We want to thank you all for your unwavering support over the years, we love our chin community and we will be truly heartbroken to say goodbye.
The move comes after Jack Woodruff, owner of the Disappearing Chin, put the pub up for sale in September.
At the time, he told the Stray Ferret that he wanted a career change after 10 years in hospitality and more time to focus on his family.
