A Harrogate takeaway is set to reopen after a suspected arson attack.
Harrogate Eats, which is based on Bower Street, temporarily closed after a fire on the evening of February 5.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were called to the site at 6.17pm following reports of smoke logging in the kitchen of a flat above a commercial premises.
Firefighters located the fire within the wall cavity of the site below the flat, the service’s incident log added.
Now, a spokesperson has confirmed the site, which houses multiple kitchens and takeaway brands—including Harrogate Brunch Club, Nibble & Nosh, and MacShack—will begin reopening tomorrow (February 14).
A spokesperson for Harrogate Eats added:
Unfortunately, our premises were the target of an arson attack, which temporarily forced us to close. CCTV footage shows a group of young individuals lighting fires near the building. Fortunately, the damage was limited.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Blue Watch from Harrogate and Knaresborough Fire Service. Their swift response prevented further destruction, and we cannot thank them enough for their bravery and professionalism.

As a token of appreciation, Harrogate Eats delivered a special meal to Harrogate Fire Station on Sunday, February 9, providing food from all three affected brands for firefighters to enjoy during their lunch break.
