The healthcare company that runs a Killinghall doctors' surgery has yet to reveal precisely when the site will close.
Moss Healthcare Harrogate announced last year that it would close its Killinghall practice in October 2024.
The practice attributed the move to the landlord not renewing or extending the lease of the site on Ripon Road.
The Killinghall practice is one of three operated by Moss Healthcare Harrogate, which also has sites on King’s Road in Harrogate and in Jennyfields.
In an update in September the healthcare company told patients it was in the process of building two new consulting rooms at Jennyfields Health Centre for Killinghall patients to use.
Dr Nick Taylor, a senior partner at the company, told patients the rooms would be available for use before the end of October.
The Stray Ferret contacted Moss Healthcare Harrogate yesterday (October 8) to ask when the Killinghall surgery would close, as we are now more than a week into October, and when the rooms are expected to be ready for use at the Jennyfields site.
However, Moss Healthcare Harrogate declined to comment.
The loss of the surgery and the long-term closure of The Greyhounds pub alongside it will mean two large sites in the middle if the village will be empty.
