Firefighters were called to rescue a dog that was stuck upside down in Knaresborough yesterday.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was summoned at 8.14am to an unnamed location in Knaresborough following reports that a dog was stuck between a shed and a fence wall.
A fire service spokesperson explained that the wall was wider at the bottom and then tapered as it went higher.
On the arrival of the crew, the dog was approximately three feet off the floor and upside down.
The spokesperson said the crew had no idea how the animal ended up stuck upside down.
Airbags and hydraulic spreaders were used to move the shed and the dog was released.
The dog suffered no injuries and was handed back into the care of its owner.
