The company that owns Ripon Farm Services has appointed a new chief financial officer.
Ripon Group, one of the largest agricultural machinery and ground care dealerships in the UK, selected Chris Northway following a search process led by finance recruitment specialist Headstar.
Mr Northway, a chartered accountant who started his career at KPMG, has held senior finance roles in multiple firms, most recently at Barrett Steel where he was director of financial control.
In a statement announcing the news today (May 20), Ripon Group said Mr Northway will “play a crucial role in financial planning, strategic decision-making, and building financial models to inform growth plans and business performance”.
Richard Simpson, chief executive officer at Ripon Group, said Mr Northway was “the clear choice from a strong shortlist”, adding:

The Ripon Group, which was established in 1982, operates through its two main divisions: Ripon Farm Services and Ripon Ground Care.
The £160 million turnover business, whose brands including John Deere, Kuhn, Bailey and Kramer, has 13 depots in Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
It employs 270 staff and its headquarters are located on Dallamires Lane, Ripon.
