A man has admitted to assaulting a police officer at the force's station in Harrogate.
Andrew Iwanuschak, 43, appeared at York Magistrates Court on Monday (March 30) charged with assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty and assault by beating.
He admitted both charges.
According to court documents, Iwanuschak assaulted the named constable at Harrogate Police Station on Beckwith Head Road on March 15.
That same day, Iwanuschak also assaulted a named man by beating him at Thirsk Market Place.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
The defendant, of Woodfield Park in the Walton area of Wakefield, will return to York Magistrates Court for sentence on April 20.
