A man has been arrested for shoplifting in Harrogate town centre.
North Yorkshire Police today told the Stray Ferret officers were called to the Victoria Shopping Centre at 12.45pm, following reports of shoplifting.
The police added a local man, 34, was arrested just off Cheltenham Crescent shortly after, and suspected stolen goods were recovered.

The man has initially been taken to hospital for medical checks before being interviewed in custody.
