A man has been arrested in connection with a City of London Police fraud investigation in the Harrogate area.
The Stray Ferret last week revealed the force’s Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit was executing warrants in the area after one of its vans was spotted on Boroughbridge Road in Knaresborough.
A spokesperson told us officers were in the area at the time in relation to an ongoing fraud investigation.
In an update today (May 23), a spokesperson said officers executed two warrants and searched a further two premises in the Harrogate area in connection with a fraud and money laundering investigation.
A man in his 20s was arrested in Harrogate.
He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Addresses in Leeds and Coventry were also searched as part of the operation, the spokesperson added.
