A man had to be taken to hospital after he was assaulted at the exit of the Marks and Spencer Simply Food car park in Harrogate, police said today (October 1).
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement the incident happened when several vehicles were queueing to leave.
It took place at about 4.20pm on Wednesday, September 24.
The victim was taken to hospital and was later discharged.
The statement added:
A 52-year-old man from the Harrogate area has been arrested and released on bail while further enquiries take place.
