Musician Example enjoys lunch at Sicklinghall pub ahead of Leeds Festival set

Musician Example dined at a local pub before performing at Leeds Festival on Sunday (August 24).
Example, real named Elliot John Gleave, shot to fame in the early 2010s and topped the official singles chart for two weeks in June 2011 with his single 'Changed the Way You Kiss Me'.
Ahead of his performance on the festival's Chevron Stage, Example enjoyed a spot of roast beef at The Scotts Arms in Sicklinghall.
Taking to social media, Example described the food as an “absolutely bangin’ bit of kit” and thanked the staff at the pub.
Example, armed with a pre-show Guinness, also told his 664,000 Instagram followers in a video:
You find us here in the beautiful village of Sicklinghall – somewhere in Yorkshire. West Yorkshire? I probably haven’t checked the map; I probably should have checked the map.
I’m now in a beautiful little village pub with a Guinness and roast beef on the way with extra gravy and horseradish, then it’s off to Leeds [Festival]. I don’t know how you’re going to do it but if you’re somehow better than Reading Festival [crowd] then this will go down as one of the best weekends ever. Then we just need Fulham to beat Man U.

A spokesperson for The Scotts Arms told the Stray Ferret Example visited the North Yorkshire pub following a recommendation from another artist.
“He was a great guy, loved the pub”, they said.
The pub also shared a photo of Example posing behind the bar with a member of staff, which has amassed more than 350 likes on Facebook.
Example, who boasts more than two million monthly listeners on Spotify, was nominated for Best British Single at the 2012 Brit Awards for his single ‘Changed the Way You Kiss Me’.
The following year, he won the Foreign Electronic Music Production of the Year award at the Hungarian Music Awards.
