A man has pleaded guilty to a series of burglaries across Harrogate.
Shane Betts, of no fixed abode admitted six counts of non-residential burglary, two counts of burglary with intent to steal and one count of theft, including theft by finding at York Magistrates Court on Saturday (May 17).
According to court documents, Betts stole a mobile phone worth £985 at Sukhothai restaurant on Cheltenham Crescent on March 22.
He then entered West Park United Reform Church as a trespasser between March 22 and 25, and stole items totalling £715.
Betts returned to the church between March 25 and 28 to steal £20 in cash, and again as a trespasser between March 27 and March 30 with intent to steal.
The 29-year-old trespassed at RHS Garden Harlow Carr and stole items to an unknown value between April 3 and 6 this year.
He returned to the Crag Lane site between April 5 and 8 with intent to steal.
Betts then stole £590 worth of items from RHS Harlow Carr between April 4 and 7.
He broke into Windsor House on Cornwall Road on April 21 and stole items of an unknown value.
Betts also stole from Central Nurseries between April 16 and 19, having entered the site as a trespasser. The value of the stolen goods is not known.
The case was committed to York Crown Court for sentence. It was adjourned until June 10 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Betts was remanded in custody until the hearing.
