Raworths Family Literature Festival returns to Harrogate

Raworths Family Literature Festival makes a welcome return to Harrogate this autumn with a day of exciting stories and fun workshops.
This year’s event, which is part of Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival, will take place at the Crown Hotel on Saturday, October 24, with a full line-up of special guests and family adventures.
What's on
Award-winning writer Joseph Coelho leads an inspiring and interactive celebration of poetry to fire children’s imaginations. The former Children’s Laureate will explain where ideas come from, share poems and show how they can help us make sense of the world around us. (Suitable for ages 6+).
Joining him at the festival will be multi award-winning author and illustrator Rob Biddulph, the creative star behind the #DrawWithRob videos. Rob will bring his stories to life with children also learning how to draw one of his amazing illustrations.
Author Bethany Walker brings a dose of Greek mythology with Medusa Gorgon’s Deadly Side Eye, the second book in her funny, diary-based series, which is suitable for ages 8 and over.
Children’s writer Kristyna Litten, author of Ivy and Bearlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Dinosaur Fossil, blends cosy storytelling with real-world science and puzzles to spark curiosity about fossils, evolution and the natural world among readers aged six and over.
Author and naturalist Kevin Parr will lead a magical woodland adventure for children in Harrogate’s Pinewoods, using stories and the seasons to bring the secrets of the forest to life for children aged five and over.
Writer Fleur Hitchcock invites children aged 8-plus to become young detectives and join the Malory Towers Mystery Club to unravel secret disappearances, midnight mischief and help solve perilous puzzles.
