A lot of people appear to have difficulty trusting the police these days.

Much of urban Britain is already covered with CCTV. Could this new development be the thin end of the wedge? There will be a natural scepticism concerning the reassuring noises about control and usage.

AI facial recognition is not accurate enough to justify this. It is as accurate as a Jeremy Kyle lie detector, and there’s a reason that show had a disclaimer.

The following comments were left under an article about new homes in Bishop Monkton and the number of homes which would be allocated to affordable housing.
I wonder what the definition of "affordable" in the context of new housing actually is.

The only way to make housing affordable is to subsidise them. The government/councils don’t have that money available and the building firms are in business to make a profit.
