The following comments were left under a reader's letter about a premises on Parliament Street "looking like a squat".
Come on Harrogate Council and MP, please work to bring back Harrogate's prestige. I moved here over 40 years ago and was proud to live in such a lovely area.
Jackie Stanton
I’ve lived in Harrogate all my life and I have never seen it looking so run down and filthy as what it is now. All the benches opposite Boots and Primark are full of bird droppings. No wonder people go elsewhere to shop.
Paul Wilson

Paul Reynolds
It’s also very dangerous. Not long ago a pane of glass fell out and smashed through the rear window of my son’s car which was queuing on the road below. His two children were in the back seat.
