Perhaps it was delayed because they're the wrong type of rocks for the sunbathing lizards, and they have to all be replaced?

Forgive my outburst of hysterical laughter. And September will come and go without it opening we can be confident. An utter and very expensive shambles.

A shambles… mmm? A very difficult site and terrible weather conditions. I regularly use this road, and I for one will just be glad when it’s open and this potentially dangerous section will be bypassed. Well done NYC for sticking at it and persevering. Don’t worry about the keyboard warriors.

Despite the 'chaos' that the villagers are painting out, we thought it was lovely and very civilised afternoon up there. All friendly families and people. It was great to do something special and share it together with such a turn out. We parked in the village and everyone we encountered was respectful.

It was good to see from almost any unobstructed place, so identifying a few special places was ridiculous and bound to cause chaos. I saw similar partiality in 1961 and 1999.
