Traffic was flowing once more through Ripon this afternoon as the first phase of roadworks, which started on Market Place East on October 28, came to a halt.
With diversion signs taken down, the city centre is returning to normal for car, bus taxi and coach drivers ahead of schedule.
The taxi rank has relocated back to the Market Place and the temporary bus stop will be removed.
The second phase of roadworks, which are being carried out by North Yorkshire Council, is scheduled to start on Market Place West on January 7, 2025, for a period of 14-15 weeks.
On December 10 there is set to be an engagement session between 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Ripon Town Hall for residents to ask any questions.
The taxi rank is back open on Market Place East.
