Rudy's Pizza is opening on John Street.

A nationwide pizza chain will open its doors in Harrogate next week.

Rudy’s Pizza, affectionately known as Rudy’s, is a Neapolitan pizza chain born in Manchester in 2015.

It has since opened more than 35 sites across the country – and Harrogate is next on its list.

The local restaurant, which has taken over the John Street unit formerly occupied by Banyan, will serve the first customers on Sunday, April 12.

Announcing the opening date on social, Rudy’s teased followers with a look at the Harrogate site.

The unit is still a work in progress, but the video sneaks a peek at the restaurant’s statement pizza oven.

The 2,800-sqft restaurant will cater to 120 covers inside and 35 outside.

The video also introduces customers to the local team, including head pizzaiolo, Billy, general manager, Stacey, and deputy manager, Sophie.

To mark the Harrogate opening, local foodies can be in with a chance of bagging a free pizza at Rudy’s.

The company is giving away 3,000 free pizzas on a first-come, first-served basis for those who sign up and book a table at the Harrogate restaurant once bookings go live.

Rudy’s Pizza’s Neal Bates previously said:

Harrogate is renowned for its brilliant food and drink scene, vibrant visitors and unique culture, spanning everything from music to crime writing festivals, which Rudy's is very excited to be part of.

With 3,000 pizzas available to claim on us, we’re delighted to open with a bang and be offering a true authentic Neapolitan experience right here in Harrogate.
