There are few places more idyllic than Harrogate and Knaresborough, but both have now been officially endorsed by Robbie Williams’ family.
The legendary singer and his wife, Ayda Field Williams, attended the world premiere of Tinsel Town – a festive comedy featuring their daughter Teddy – last night (November 27).
Teddy plays Rebel Wilson’s on-screen daughter in the film, which was partly shot in Knaresborough, and starred alongside Kiefer Sutherland, Danny Dyer and Katherine Ryan.
The Stray Ferret attended the premiere and spoke exclusively to several stars, including Ayda and Teddy, about their time in the Harrogate district.
Tinsel Town may have been Teddy’s acting debut, but she was – much like her father – a natural with the press, raving about her new-found love for Yorkshire.
“It is so pretty and there’s so much to do”, she says. Teddy even believes she could convince her A-list parents to make the move across the pond to Yorkshire.
The Williams' recounted their visits to Knaresborough – or, ‘narrows-borough’, as Ayda pronounced it – and Harrogate when speaking to the Stray Ferret.
They were particularly taken by Bettys; Teddy said she "would recommend" the institutionary tearoom, while Ayda confirmed there will “definitely [be] a Bettys part two”.

Tinsel Town, a festive comedy about a Hollywood actor who is plunged into the wonderful world of British pantomime, will be officially released in the UK next Friday (December 5).
It will be available on Sky and NOW, and a number of screenings will be taking place across Knaresborough to mark the town's stardom next week. You can read more about those here.
