A Harrogate man has been arrested after being recalled to prison for breaching his licence.
Bailey Townend, 21, was released from prison on licence on November 1 last year after being handed a 51-week custodial sentence for burglary and theft.
In a statement issued by North Yorkshire Police at the end of November, the force said The Probation Service reported that Townend failed to reside at approved accommodation in Leeds, thereby breaching his licence.
Police issued an appeal for his arrest at the end of November, then re-issued it on January 3.
Officers said in an updated statement on Friday, January 12:
“Earlier this month we posted an updated appeal to locate wanted man Bailey Townend, 21.
“He was released from jail last year, but breached his licence, so had been recalled to prison.
“He’s now under arrest.”
