Aldi closes Harrogate store for makeover
Aldi is to close its Harrogate store at 8pm today (August 22) for a makeover.
Signs at the store say it will get a ‘fresh new look’ and will reopen at 8am on Thursday, August 27.
The German supermarket is upgrading 25 UK stores this summer at a cost of £300 million.
The company hopes to create more space and energy-efficient features, and some supermarkets will get upgraded bakery sections. However, details of the Harrogate changes have not been revealed.
The store sign said:
“This store will close temporarily while we work behind the scenes to create a new and exciting shopping experience for you.
“We’re making changes to give you an even better place to shop and we think you’re going to love the new look.”
Aldi opened at Oak Beck Road in 2016.
