Tate Consulting, headquartered in Harrogate, is expanding further into the aviation industry after winning contracts on major airport infrastructure upgrades.
The company is a building services consultancy, providing a full range of commercial engineering solutions.
It has provided full mechanical and electrical design services on one of the world’s most advanced hangars, known as Domus III, which has just opened at Farnborough Airport.
The company has just completed work on a security screening investment at the airport, installing two cabin baggage screening lanes with C3 screening technology.
It means passengers no longer need to remove electronic items from their cabin baggage and can carry up to two litres of liquids through security without removing them from their bags for security checks.
Tate Consulting has now been appointed to work on a similar security screening project at Newquay Airport, which will start this summer.
Ray Cavanagh, director at Tate Consulting, said:
The C3 screening technology is the highest-rated aviation security equipment on the market and will significantly enhance the experience for passengers at Farnborough Airport. We’re now looking forward to using our experience on this project at Cornwall Airport Newquay.
We’re also delighted to see work complete at Domus III, which has been another groundbreaking project for us to be involved with.

The SI Camp offers a range of sports and activities that promote physical well-being and personal development.
Neil Atkinson, Sporting Influence foundation project manager, said:

NDNA Awards Little Dragons
Harrogate nursery Partou Little Dragons won the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) Award for Nursery Training and Development.
The NDNA awards the trophy to a nursery that “invests in the development and motivation of all staff” and offers “outside the box opportunities for development.”
Partou Little Dragons, East Parade, received high praise from the judges for its comprehensive approach to professional development.
Established in 1999, the NDNA is an award-winning national charity and membership association supporting nurseries, early years settings and their workforce to deliver the best possible early education and care to young children.
Bambi Wainwright, nursery manager said:
I am so proud of what we have achieved. As a nursery driven by a commitment to create a safe space where everybody can flourish, receiving this national award means so much to us.
We are a neurodiverse team who have often faced barriers to our own progression. Breaking those down and fostering a culture of sustained shared thinking and inclusion is our passion.
Samantha Rhodes, managing director of Partou said:
The ethos at Partou Little Dragons centres around creating an environment of care and continuous learning and development. The team help each other to reach their full potential and take pride in their achievements so that every team member feels valued and respected.
