Harrogate Spring Water has appointed a new operations director.
Ian Swann will lead the operations at Harrogate Spring Water, after previous roles with Alpro, and Danone.
Mr Swann said:
I’m excited to join Harrogate Spring Water and contribute to a company that is deeply rooted in its community.
I look forward to building on the great work already being done, enhancing our operations and engaging with local stakeholders to ensure we continue to be a source of pride for Harrogate.
He succeeds Simon Knaggs as operations director, following his retirement after seven years in the role.
Richard Hall, managing director at Harrogate Spring Water, added:
Ian’s extensive experience and proven leadership in operations and project management make him the perfect fit for our team.
Ian brings with him significant experience, in particular working in the Danone operations ecosystem which will be vital as we continue to integrate Harrogate Spring Water into the Danone family.
His commitment to excellence aligns with our goals of sustainability and community connection. We are excited to welcome him aboard as we continue to grow and innovate.
We’d also like to pay tribute to the fantastic work of Simon Knaggs as Ian’s predecessor in the role. Simon has played a key role in the continuing success of Harrogate Spring Water and we wish him a long and enjoyable retirement.

Mr Sinnott said:
I am thrilled to take on this expanded role at Econ. The business continues to perform strongly in the markets we operate in, and I look forward to providing additional insight to the board so we can continue our growth.
Econ Engineering is the UK’s leading manufacturer of winter and highway maintenance vehicles. The firm’s main manufacturing base is in Ripon.
Jonathan Lupton, managing director at Econ, said:
Steve’s promotion from UK sales manager, a position he only took up a year ago, to sales director, is richly deserved and is further recognition of the valuable role he has played since joining us.
As we continue to lead the market in the winter and roads maintenance sector, Steve’s expanded role is an important one.
