Police have identified a woman after issuing a CCTV appeal.
Officers wanted to speak to a woman following an assault on a child in Knaresborough.
North Yorkshire Police today said the incident happened at 3.30pm on Wednesday, June 18, when an 11-year-old girl was assaulted by being grabbed by the face.
Officers said it happened outside of the children's playpark to the front of Knaresborough Leisure and Wellness Centre.
In an update this afternoon (July 7), police said the woman has now been identified. We have removed the image to anonymise the woman's details.
