Fell rescuers were called to help a man who had fallen at Brimham Rocks on Wednesday (July 30).
Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) received a report from Yorkshire Ambulance Service after a young man had “fallen a considerable distance” at the Nidderdale beauty spot.
The association today (August 1) said the rescuers were met by paramedics at the scene, who had administered pain relief.
The man suffered a suspected broken femur, so the UWFRA team helped paramedics put his leg in a splint and carried him to a nearby ambulance.
“We wish the casualty a very speedy and successful recovery”, the association said on social media.
