A Harrogate man has denied damaging a police van and assaulting an officer.
James Gibb, 37, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court this morning (April 23) when he denied one offence of criminal damage and one offence of assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty.
It is alleged Mr Gibb intentionally or recklessly damaged a North Yorkshire Police van on March 17 this year, but the value of the alleged damage is not known.
The defendant, of Diamond Place, is also accused of assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty that same day.
Both alleged offences are said to have happened in Harrogate.
The case was adjourned for trial, which will be held at Harrogate Magistrates Court on June 25.
