A man has been accused of a string of offences in Harrogate — including threatening a woman with a knife.
Darren Beeforth, 40, appeared at York Magistrates Court on Monday (December 15) charged with four offences: two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, one count of threatening a person with an offensive weapon, bladed article or corrosive substance in a private place and one count of causing actual bodily harm.
Court documents allege Mr Beeforth threatened a named woman with a knife on December 11 at an address in Harrogate.
Mr Beeforth is accused of assaulting the woman and causing her actual bodily harm on the same day, at the same address, as well as allegedly damaging various household items valued under £5,000.
The defendant, who is of no fixed address but is listed as living in Harrogate, is also alleged to have damaged the woman’s car.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Beeforth is expected to enter pleas to all the charges on January 19.
