A man has been fined after assaulting a police officer in Starbeck.
Gary Windsor, of Wedderburn Avenue in Harrogate, appeared at York Magistrates Court on Saturday (September 20), when he pleaded guilty to one offence of assaulting an emergency worker by beating.
According to court documents, Windsor assaulted a named police officer on Spa Lane by beating him on August 29.
Windsor, 44, was ordered to pay a £120 fine and £100 in compensation to the police officer.
Court documents do not disclose where on Spa Lane the assault took place, but the incident comes at a time when concerns over antisocial behaviour in Starbeck are increasing.
