Police helicopter searches for stolen vehicle in Harrogate
A police helicopter has been circling Harrogate this afternoon (July 30).
Eyewitnesses spotted it over Hookstone and High Harrogate.
The Stray Ferret contacted North Yorkshire Police, which said the helicopter was deployed to search for a stolen vehicle.
The force said:
[The helicopter] is in relation to a search for a stolen motor vehicle.
The incident is still ongoing and presents no wider threat to members of the public.
The incident number is NYP-30072024-0291.
