Police seek driver after car hits wall at Pot Bank

North Yorkshire Police has issued an appeal after a driver crashed into a wall at Pot Bank, Beckwithshaw.

According to a police statement published today, the incident happened at 6.50pm on Thursday last week (December 12) on the B6161.

The collision damaged the wall but the driver left without giving their details, the statement said.

It added:

A passing motorist in a small white van stops to assist at 6.52pm helping remove the vehicle from the flowerbed and wall.

The driver left the scene without leaving details and has not been in touch with North Yorkshire Police to report the collision. 

The car involved in the collision is believed to be a small hatchback, such as a Ford Ka or Fiat 500.

The driver is described as male, aged 50-65 years old with short hair and glasses. Wearing trousers and a jumper.

Police said the passenger is a female aged 50-65 years old wearing a hooded long light-coloured coat which is down to her mid-calf and trousers. She has light coloured bobbed hair.
