Staveley Community Primary School, near Knaresborough has been praised for its “friendly and welcoming atmosphere” in a new Ofsted report.
Government inspectors rated the 81-pupil school ‘good’ overall, continuing its status from the previous 2015 inspection.
Inspectors said “the school is ambitious” and “has high expectations of all pupils.”
Ofsted also highlighted that the school has undergone changes during the academic year.
It added:
A significant increase in the number of pupils has resulted in the creation of an additional class. Pupils speak positively of this change. They told inspectors that the smaller class sizes help them to concentrate on their work.
Staff were commended for maintaining “a clear focus on providing a high-quality education for pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.”
The primary school is part of the TIG (Togetherness Inspires Growth) Federation, a group of three schools created in 2016. The school has a shared leadership team with Kirk Hammerton CE Primary School and Long Marston CE Primary School.
The Stray Ferret has contacted the primary school for comment.
