A woman has died following a collision between Ripon and Masham over the bank holiday weekend.
North Yorkshire Police revealed today the 83-year-old woman from the Hambleton area, who has not been named, died on Tuesday evening.
She was a pedestrian in the incident, which also involved a man in his 60s from Harrogate who was riding a blue Suzuki motorcyle.
The collision took place on the A6108 close to West Tanfield Cricket Club at about 2.30pm on Saturday.
A police statement said:
She was airlifted to hospital for emergency treatment but sadly died on Tuesday evening. Her family are being supported while police enquiries continue.
The road was closed until 7.15pm on Saturday while emergency services responded to the incident, and to allow for forensic collision investigations to take place.
Police today renewed their appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
