There have been no further deaths in hospital patients with coronavirus across the whole of the North East and Yorkshire, according to today’s figures.
It means the number of deaths at Harrogate District NHS Foundation Trust remains at 82, with no deaths for the last 12 days.

NHS England confirmed a further 10 deaths today across the country, bringing the total number since the beginning of the outbreak to 29,291.
Of those reported today, all 10 were aged between 48 and 93 and had known underlying health conditions.

A further 9 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,281.
Patients were aged between 36 and 89 years old. All had known underlying health conditions.

Meanwhile, face coverings became mandatory in shops and supermarkets today.
The new guidelines state that coverings will be mandatory when buying takeaway food and drink but can be removed when seated at a table.
Failure to wear a face covering could result in a £100 fine, however North Yorkshire Police said this would be a “last resort”.

The hospital normally reveals how many patients it has discharged on a Thursday but has not published any new figures today.
Nationally, 19 patients with Covid-19 have died, all aged between 35 and 89 and with underlying health conditions. Four of those were in the North East and Yorkshire.

Nationally, a further 15 people have died in England’s hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus. It takes the death toll in the nation’s hospitals to 29,202.
NHS England said the patients were aged between 46 and 90. Five patients, aged between 46 and 84, had no known underlying health conditions.
Office for National Statistics data, published today, showed no further deaths in care homes due to coronavirus in the Harrogate district from 3 July to 10 July
It means the number of people who have died in care homes remains at 104.

It means the death toll in the nation’s hospitals has increased to 29,187.

A further 13 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in England’s hospitals. 2 were in the Yorkshire and North East region.
Patients were aged between 49 and 96 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions.
It means the death toll from coronavirus nationally has increased to 29,173.

It comes as a further 16 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in England’s hospitals.
NHS England said in its latest figures that the patients were aged between 47 and 93 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.
It means the death toll from coronavirus nationally has increased to 29,160.

Meanwhile, for the ninth consecutive day, no further deaths have been reported in patients with the virus at the hospital, according to figures released by NHS England today.
They show that 19 more patients, aged between 52 and 91, have died across the country, and all of them had underlying health conditions. It brings the total number of deaths in NHS England hospitals to 29,144.
