A new independent bakery will open in Harrogate on Monday (April 6).
Gilt Bakehouse will sell swell and savoury goods, including speciality tarts, pastries and sandwiches.
It will operate in premises on Market Place that includes a small seating area.
Owner Robert Wainwright said he decided to open a bakery in Harrogate after being “inspired by the countryside” surrounding the town.
Mr Wainwright said he would use locally sourced produce for all baked goods, as well as seasonal ingredients.

Asked about his plans for the bakery, he said:
Customers can expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with a focus on high quality produce.
Everything is made in-house, ensuring that everything you see is fresh and hand produced.
