Two men have been charged with kidnap after what police described as a "violent incident" in Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Police said the charges relate to an incident in the Jennyfields area at around 4pm on October 7.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with kidnap and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man has been charged with kidnap and motoring offences.
Both are due to appear before York Magistrates Court today.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Wilkinson, of North Yorkshire Police, said:
