Bring your own vinyl records to a pop-up venue

You may remember the summer venue Spiegeltent that was in Crescent Gardens, Harrogate in 2022, and seen in the Stray Ferret that it’s returning this year.

And this Saturday if you have your own vinyl records at home, why not bring them into town? They can be played to a larger audience as Harrogate International Festivals is holding a ‘Bring your Own Vinyl’ event where it will play at least one side of the record.

Hosted by local DJ Ry Kenny, enjoy an afternoon of chill-out tunes. And you can buy drinks in the tent too.

Free, 12-3pm, June 29, Spiegeltent, Crescent Gardens, HG1 2RG.

Go on a guided social walk from Brimham Rocks to Fountains Abbey

Taking place on the last Sunday of the month between June 30 to September 29, go on an eight-mile guided social walk from Brimham Rocks to Fountains Abbey.

Led by Brimham Rocks volunteers, follow in the footsteps of the Cistercian monks on an ancient trail leading you to Fountains Abbey while taking in the expansive views from Riva Hill to Brimham Rocks.

It will take approximately five hours – including a morning coffee break and a picnic stop. On the way back the group will catch the DalesBus 825 service at Fountains Abbey at 4.43pm (bus fare back costs £2).

Free and no need to pre-book, meet in the Welcome Hut in the car park at 11am, June 30, Brimham Moor Road, HG3 4DW.

Dogs welcome but must be kept on a short lead and they must also be able to climb over stiles.

Also check out... Knaresborough Party in the Castle is returning on Saturday June 29 as is Ripon's naked walk on the same day at the Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park.

Knaresborough and Hampsthwaite Open Gardens are also both on Saturday 29 June.

Finally, Harrogate's Harmony 10k Run is taking place on Sunday June 30.
