A free roadshow that gives advice to businesses on exporting is coming to Harrogate, on October 16.
Export Support Roadshows will see experts give practical advice and information on funding opportunities.
North Yorkshire Council, the Department for Business and Trade and the York and North Yorkshire Growth Hub are working in partnership to deliver the programme.
Local business owners who already export will be among the speakers.
Interested businesses need to register on the York and North Yorkshire Growth Hub website.
David Skaith, mayor of York and North Yorkshire, said:
It is time to be confident, ambitious and champion our region’s businesses so we can reach our full potential. I know from my personal experience running my business, just how important our small and high street businesses are.
The project is funded by North Yorkshire Council through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, so only businesses in the council area can attend.
Councillor Carl Les, leader of North Yorkshire Council, and chair of the Shared Prosperity Fund Local Partnership Group, said:
These Export Support Roadshows are a fantastic opportunity for businesses across North Yorkshire to find out more about how to engage with markets in other countries.
I encourage any businesses which are curious about expanding into this are to sign up and attend one of the roadshows to access the expert advice on offer.
L-R: Rachel Tunnicliffe, Alison Walker and Sam Jenner
Harrogate law firm Raworths has announced a change of leadership for its trusts, wills and estates team.
Partners Alison Walker and Sam Jenner are stepping up to take over as joint heads of the team of 23.
Their promotions will enable former head of trusts, wills and estates Rachel Tunnicliffe – who led the team for a decade – to focus on expanding her roles as senior partner and head of private client services.
Ms Tunnicliffe said:
Alison and Sam each bring a unique set of skills and knowledge which together make for an inspirational leadership team. I’m looking forward to embarking on a new chapter at Raworths, and continuing to work with my clients.
Edward Sexton of Glencroft
Yorkshire countrywear clothing brand Glencroft will be at the Knaresborough Pop-Up Shop between September 9-15.
It will be open daily at 67 High Street from 10am until 5pm.
Glencroft makes clothing and accessories from British Wool, sheepskin and Tweed, including their very own traceable Clapdale Wool.
Edward Sexton of Glencroft said:
Our Dales warehouse is nestled at the foot of Ingleborough where we have been based since opening in the 1980s. Coming out to Knaresborough Pop-Up allows us to do something a little different to bring our brand front and centre whilst also supporting the Yorkshire high street.
Laser With Love
