Next will be opening its new store in Ripon at 12 noon on Thursday (May 22)

Leading fashion retailer Next has confirmed the time and date for the opening of its store at St Michael's Retail Park on Rotary Way, Ripon.

The 8,777 sq ft store, which includes a mezzanine floor, will open its doors at 12 noon on Thursday (May 22).

The company says that Ripon follows the newest Next store concept design and the latest specification, including new wall finishes, flooring and frame types, as well as spacious fitting rooms for customers.

The store, which has brought 31 jobs to the city, has an open layout, with a large atrium and LED ceiling features throughout.

Next previously said the store would open on Wednesday this week but the date has been pushed back one day.

Store manager Megan Lunt said:

The excitement that comes with opening a new store hasn't just radiated throughout the business, but also the locals and this community.

The overwhelming support has meant that we are finally ready to welcome Ripon customers to our brand new store.

We are really excited to become a small part of this beautiful little city and thrive as part of it.

The store will have womenswear, menswear and childrenswear departments and also provide free parcel pick ups and returns for online customers.

There will also be free customer parking for up to a maximum of two hours.

The 140 parking spaces will be shared between Next and M&S Simply Food, which has recently extended its floorspace from 7,300  sq ft to 12,300 sq ft.
