Local volunteers have cleared a section of the Nidderdale Greenway to make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle.
Eighteen volunteers from the local Sustrans ranger group and Starbeck Conservation Group cleared around a mile of path from Killinghall bridge to the fork with the former rail line to Ripon.
The Harrogate branch of Sustrans is part of the charity which looks after the National Cycle Network – a UK network of paths and routes for walking, wheeling and cycling.
The group meet on the second Tuesday of the month and the clean-up took place this week (December 10) when volunteers cleaned leaves and sludge from the path to make it more accessible.
