About £20,000 worth of Asian gold jewellery has been stolen from a house in Harrogate, North Yorkshire Police said today (October 20).

A police statement said burglars forced their way into a property on Crab Lane in the Bilton area at some point between Saturday, September 27 and Friday, October 10.

The stolen jewellery includes:

  • A necklace which was red in colour with a gold centre
  • Several thin gold chains
  • A gold chain with diamonds on the bottom
  • A necklace with green beads and gold in the centre
  • Four gold rings, four gold earrings, two diamond rings, two gold bangles and some silver jewellery.
  • Several Pandora rings and bracelets.

PC Conor Taylor from North Yorkshire Police said:

If you do keep valuable jewellery or large amounts of cash in your home, please take steps to secure it properly. A burglar who is determined will search high and low for your treasured possessions.

Officers urged anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who has been offered the items for sale to get in contact. Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage is also asked to come forward.

Email conor.taylor@northyokrshire.police.uk if you can help, or call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for Conor Taylor. You can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its website. Quote reference 12250192096.
