North Yorkshire Police has opened an investigation after a man was assaulted in Harrogate.
The attack happened shortly after 6.30am this morning (September 6) on Avondale Road, which is close to Claro Road.
Police urged people to avoid the area while they dealt with the incident.
The force said in a statement:
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Forensic enquiries are ongoing at the scene. Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident - they remain in police custody at this time.
